Hello, Winter

SU Campus, 2/29/08

Of course.

It's been a pretty light winter around here. We've gotten our share of snow, but as I remarked to someone the other day, it feels like we've only gotten it 1 or 2 inches at a time. Today, however.

Today is the day before our annual recruiting visit, and so we've got 7 people coming in from all over, and already we're getting flight delays, cancellations, alterations, and general anxiety from all. Sigh.

The one nice thing about nonstop snow during the next two days is that if these prospective students want to come here anyway, we'll know they really want to be here. But just once it'd be nice if the heavy weather would lighten up for us rather than the other way around.

That's all.

Were you able to make it to Brooklyn? How did you do?

Got back last night. Expect a report later today...
