Don't have a lot of time tonight for self-expression, so I thought I'd share with both all of my readers one of the new additions to my desktop. A San Francisco company, Move Design, has released a graphics tool called the n-Gen Design Machine. In their words,
n-Gen represents an attempt to define a new design methodology, one that harnesses the computer’s powerful simulation and automation capabilities, freeing the user to focus on design decisions. A little bit like gardening, a bit like genetic engineering, with a touch of gambling thrown in.
Basically, you throw down a little text, select a "design module" and an output format (poster, flyer, CD sleeve, etc.), and n-Gen will generate pretty interesting results. Design modules contain various fonts, colors, layouts, images in an attempt to capture a particular design flavor. Here are some quick examples:

Thumbnails are all you'll get from me, though. Visit the site for a bunch of other examples, and a downloadable demo with 5 modules beyond generic, and which lasts indefinitely. Fun stuff...

I like to think that I am actually one of your TWO blog readers. That makes me feel elite. I'm a member of an exclusive club.
And I downloaded that software you mentioned. I felt like it was my right as a member of an exclusive club. I'm not paying dues, though.
No dues allowed.
Am I allowed to count myself as one of my two readers? If so, then I know for sure I have two...two exclusive, elite, super, red carpet, top shelf, A number 1 readers. If it gets any bigger, though, we may have to elect me--oops, I mean, a president...
I know *totally fer sure* that you have at least three readers. So there, CBGB.
And no dues?!? That's a right fine deal there. My blog charges a monthly fee of $19.99 to readers. And Rice's blog actually steals money right from your bank account every time you read. Collin vs. Blog is a BARGAIN! I'm a believer.
It's funny how some "people" charge money to visit their blog ($19.99) and don't allow comments. Then said "people" post comments all over town on everybody else's blogs.
By the way mommy, my water dish is empty again.
